Hybrid Arts Lab: Industrial Design Winter Market
Industrial Design Winter Market
By Esther Pittinger, UAS Writing Intern
Back in one of our October newsletters, we shared the exciting online project, The Performance of Making: Material Explorations Along the Product Development Path, showing the progress of 14 third-year Industrial Design students in experimenting with different materials and processes to create houseware products while addressing sustainability.
We told you to stay tuned for more information about the Design Winter Market where these products will be sold – well, good news: that information is here!
Urban Arts Space has partnered with the Department of Design to host their Third-Annual Winter Market online this year! From November 23-24, UAS will be hosting an online store on the UAS website for you to purchase products designed by Ohio State’s very own Industrial Design students.
We’ll be sharing more information as it comes online here and on our social media accounts. In the meantime, check out an interview we conducted with William Nickley, Assistant Professor of Design and organizer of the Winter Market, and some of his students here. Once again, keep your eyes peeled for some wonderful winter gifts, for both yourself and others!
