Imara Regis is a fourth-year student at The Ohio State University and a community engagement intern at UAS. As a visual artist, she is drawn to contemporary art and Afro-futurism. She also loves dance, mostly West African, ballet, and jazz due to her 10 years of dance experience.

In her free time, Imara loves to watch Bob’s Burgers and spend quality time with her loved ones, especially her Chocolate lab/Great Dane named Bucky. She is very passionate about creative expression and finding ways to bring ideas to life.

Words Imara likes to live by include an authorless quote she found on Pinterest: “Be patient… it’s all coming together.” Not everything we dream of or expect is meant for us, and by having what’s meant for us too early in life, we could ruin it. Great things are out there for you—it’s just not always on your timing.
